With Verizon and T-Mobile launching new Android devices, is Palm and RIM (BlackBerry) being squeezed out of the prime Enterprise market? Analysts have downgraded both Palm and RIM while upgrading Motorola….does this signal troubles ahead for two longtime smartphone providers? Between Apple’s iPhone and the recent love-affair with Android, both Palm and BlackBerry have to be concerned.
The U.S. largest’s wireless carrier, Verizon Wireless, has launched its first Android offering with a banner ad campaign, kicking Apple where it hurts with the ‘iDon’t’ campaign while touting the ‘Droid Does’ smartphone. T-Mobile launched its third Android handset, the Motorola ‘Cliq’ last week and with these launches, Motorola is banking on these devices and their upcoming portfolio of additional Android smartphones to resuscitate their flagging handset division.
It will be an interesting holiday season for both Palm and RIM if they don’t step up to the plate and launch a few salvos at their competitors. Time’s a wasting for these two….tick tock….

Nice site here. Love the updated look. I saw the Droid in New york this weekend and read that one store in Manhattan was mobbed. Maybe it was in little Italy eh?
